Stadium Shade Sails
Perth’s new, vibrant Optus Stadium has been completed and dressed up with some twenty first century shade sails by Sail City. The children’s playground required a parents’ mingling area where they can safely take children out of prams before turning them loose for fun.

How it works
One of our designers comes to you, takes the measurements, talks through fabric and fixing options, and follows up with a design and a fixed-price quote. No obligation, no cost and nothing made until you've seen exactly how it will look.

01 Consult
A consultant visits your site to talk through design ideas and give you a quote, no cost, no obligation.
- Assess your shade needs
- Plan the sail dimensions and layout
- Position posts and fixtures
- Handle Council approvals where needed
- (If the sail is fairly simple, quotes can be provided over the phone.)

02 Design
- Our consultants understand shade sail design, fabric characteristics and fabrication techniques so our designs are stylish, aesthetically pleasing and practical.
- Our consultants assist you with your concept and provide design advice based on extensive experience.

03 Fabricate & Engineer
Cut, sewn and engineered in-house, to Australian standards, using commercial-grade fabric.
- Custom designed to fit each unique application.
- Use latest 3D CAD engineering software to design shade sails.
- Laser technology is used to cut sails, increasing accuracy and minimising waste.

04 Install
You will be working with experienced, innovative consultants who plan, carry out and complete your project from beginning to completion.
- Design the shade sail and fixings according to engineering principles.
- Order sail posts that are structurally and aesthetically appropriate for the particular job, and powder coated to an appropriate colour.
- Complete the ground works safely and in a clean and timely manner.
- Install the new shade sail.

05 Ongoing maintenance
Sail City offer yearly maintenance comprised of taking down the shade sail prior to winter, checking its condition and providing advice on any repairs or faulty tensioning points. We also wash the shade sail if required, and install it in spring ready for the summer months.
