Stay cool and protected with a local Wellard shade sail

Wellard, like every Perth suburb, takes a heavy dose of UV through the hotter months from October to April. A shade sail lets you keep using your outdoor space through that stretch instead of surrendering it, and keeps the sun off the people using it.

Away from the coast, Wellard holds its heat later into the evening, and west-facing walls, paving and glass are what keep radiating it back at you. Shading those surfaces, rather than just the seating area, is usually what makes the difference to how a space actually feels.

We build and install over carports and driveways, pools and spas, playgrounds, courtyards, patios, balconies and walkways, for both homes and businesses in Wellard. A sail turns an area you were avoiding for half the year into one you use, which is a cheaper way to gain usable space than building.

Every sail is custom designed for the space it has to cover. We draw it in 3D CAD and cut it on a laser table, which keeps the tolerances tight and the waste down, then stitch it from high-UV fabric backed by a 10 year proportional warranty. A sail does more than block sun. Mounted at the right angle in a denser fabric it also works as a privacy and sound barrier. One job we would happily repeat ran a sail between a fence line and a roof, shading the garden bed and closing off the neighbours' sightline in the same move.

Shade matters most for the people least likely to ask for it. Children playing outside through the middle of the day take the highest UV load of anyone, and a sail over a play area is the simplest fix there is. We have installed a great many playground sails, usually in a hyper shape so they hold steady in wind and last longer for it.
